Environment and Bio-Diversity Conservation
Key areas of interventions:
Plantation Derives
CSP actively promotes plantation drives to address environmental degradation and promote climate resilience. These initiatives involve tree planting in urban and rural areas, schools, and community spaces to improve air quality, reduce soil erosion, and enhance biodiversity. This sustainable intervention helps to mitigate climate change, create greener and healthier environments, and raise community awareness about the importance of environmental conservation.
Formation of Nature Clubs
CSP supports the formation of Nature Clubs to engage communities, especially youth, in environmental conservation and awareness activities. These clubs provide a platform for members to participate in tree planting, clean-up campaigns, biodiversity protection, and educational programs on sustainable practices. By fostering environmental stewardship and hands-on learning, Nature Clubs cultivate a culture of responsibility, climate awareness, and active participation in preserving natural resources for the well-being of current and future generations.
Awareness Campaigns and Installation of Dustbins
CSP conducts awareness campaigns and facilitates the installation of dustbins to promote cleanliness, proper waste management, and environmental hygiene in communities. Through these initiatives, CSP educates people on the importance of reducing litter, segregating waste, and maintaining a clean environment. The placement of dustbins in strategic locations ensures proper disposal of garbage, prevents pollution, and fosters responsible community behavior, contributing to healthier, greener, and more sustainable living spaces.
Research on Biodiversity
CSP conducts research on biodiversity to understand, document, and conserve the variety of plant and animal species in different ecosystems. These researches help to identify endangered species, assess environmental changes, and develop strategies for sustainable resource management. National and International Organizations are partner of CSP for conducting researches in natural habitats (national parks etc.) and students are linked by CSP with donor partners.
