Emergency Response

Emergency Response

CSP has been supporting the Government in dealing the humanitarian crisis and emergency response services. CSP collaborates with state institutions linking them with its young volunteers to take them on-board while responding emergencies. A recent example is a successful COVID-19 Response Joint Venture of CSP with district governments of Islamabad in capital territory, Rawalpindi in Punjab province and district Mirpur, Bhimber, Haveli and Neelum in the state of Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK) and Emergency Response in district Neelum Valley in relief distribution amongst victims along the Line of Control. CSP volunteers are also supporting federal government in the application of its COVID-19 containment SOPs under Prime Minister’s Tiger Force. CSP trained volunteers also provide support to other in-country humanitarian actors enabling them reach out marginalized segments and neglected communities in far-flung remote areas. Community Services Programme (CSP) Volunteers were engaged to distribute NFI’s among the most deserving community. With the help of Penny, Appeal CSP has distributing NFI is to 270 vulnerable and marginalized households who had lost their resources during the flood in Pasni, Gwadar Baluchistan and in Neelum AJ&K during snow falling. To contribute to the psychological and physical survival of the affected population by providing the means to preserve their health and ensure their welfare, safety, and dignity. Distribution of NFI should always be viewed as a potential activity at the beginning of any emergency and, unless we have absolute assurance from other organizations, we must be prepared to intervene in this domain.
