CSP believes in women’s potential for their self-reliance therefore social mobilization is considered a fundamental element of its programme/ project management approach. For every intervention, CSP mobilize and organize women led communities following a well-recognized three-tier community institutional approach and strengthen their strategic and operational capacities to promote shared responsibility and ownership at grassroots level. CSP enable women’s to identify their varying needs, evaluate internal & external environment, build consensus how to best utilize their existing capacities, network with authorities and other humanitarian/development actors for relevant and appropriate plans and lead efficient, effective and quality execution. CSP ensures proactive engagement of target community and other respective stakeholders throughout all phases of project management ensuring transparency, accountability, learning, improvement and smooth handing-over for ownership and sustainability.
Following are the overarching milestones of the grassroots community structures, CSP always strives for:
- Mobilization and organization of target communities to establish/ revive their COs, VOs and LSOs
- Development and execution of strategic and operational Capacity Development Plans (CDPs) for each and every CO, VOs and LSO informed of capacity assessment findings.
- Conducting periodic Organizational Maturity Assessments (OMA) to federate one at next level at a three-tier community structure ladder.
- Promoting inclusive participation ensuring each and every segment of population is on-board and no one is left behind.
- Promoting volunteerism and developing local youth and women leadership.
- Supporting three-tier community structures for their registration with concerned state institutions/departments once they achieve certain strategic and operational maturity.
- Providing technical guidance to these grassroots community structures for the development of their respective Development/ Resilience/ Adaptation Plans.
- Helping them network with local authorities, funding agencies, community funders and in-country humanitarian and development actors to lead their local development and resilience agenda and effectively advocate for their rights.
