Community Services Program (CSP) Institute of Skills Development

CSP Institute of Skills Development is an initiative established by the Community Services Program (CSP) with the vision of promoting women’s economic empowerment. The institute is registered with National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) Government of Pakistan and was created to provide women and young girls particularly from underserved and rural communities with practical skills that enable them to become financially independent and confident contributors to their families and society.

The institute offers demand-driven vocational and technical training programs designed to enhance employability and support small-scale entrepreneurship. Through structured training, hands-on practice, and mentorship, participants gain skills in various income-generating fields. The primary goal is to reduce economic dependency, create livelihood opportunities, and encourage women to participate actively in the local economy.

By equipping women with marketable skills, CSP-Institute of Skills Development not only strengthens household incomes but also promotes social inclusion and gender equality. The initiative reflects CSP’s broader commitment to sustainable community development by empowering women to build brighter and more secure futures for themselves and their families. Currently there are 02 Institutes are serving, one in Islamabad and second in district Neelum AJ&K along one production centre in Islamabad.

The CSP Institute of Skills Development operates a production centre where women are actively engaged in the preparation of school uniforms, cultural dresses, jewelry, ornamental items, Kashmiri embroidery and dresses, jackets, school bags, and ladies’ shirts and trousers. These products are supplied to traders and garment shops across the region, creating sustainable income opportunities for women. The centre not only supports working women by providing them employment and skill utilization but also promotes traditional crafts and quality garment production, contributing to women’s economic empowerment and market linkage development.
