Community Mobilization and Institutionalization
Key areas of interventions:
Establishment of Village Development Committees (VDCs) and Community Interest Groups (CIGs)
CSP focuses on establishing and strengthening Village Development Committees (VDCs) and Community Interest Groups (CIGs) as a key strategy for social mobilization and institutionalization. By organizing and empowering these community structures, CSP ensures that local voices are represented in decision-making processes, resources are managed collectively, and development initiatives are sustainable. These committees and groups facilitate community-led planning, capacity building, and problem-solving, fostering ownership, accountability, and long-term social cohesion within villages and neighborhoods.
Capacity Building of Community Members
CSP provides training to community members in leadership, management, and organizational development skills. These programs equip participants with the knowledge and tools to effectively lead local initiatives, manage resources, and strengthen community organizations. By building these capacities, CSP fosters self-reliance, enhances decision-making, and promotes sustainable community-driven development, enabling members to actively contribute to the social and economic progress of their communities.
Construction of Mosques (Religious Institution)
The construction of mosques in villages of Punjab and Azad Jammu & Kashmir by CSP plays an important role in meeting the religious, educational, and social needs of local communities. These mosques serve not only as places of worship but also as community centers where people gather for prayers, guidance, and social interaction. Many of these mosques also include madrassas where children receive basic religious education, learn Quran recitation, and develop moral values in a safe and supportive environment. This initiative helps promote spiritual development, strengthens community unity, and provides children in rural areas with access to religious learning that may otherwise be unavailable. The presence of mosques and madrassas also encourages positive engagement of youth, supports the preservation of Islamic teachings, and contributes to the overall social and moral development of the community. Currently CSP has constructed and established 05 Mosques in targeted areas of Pakistan and AJ&K.
