CSP Objectives

To consolidate commitment on quality and right based education (civic and voter education), environmental awareness, population & reproductive health, youth and women empowerment, HIVAIDS/drug abuse and human rights awareness. To enhance productivity and competitiveness of youth by involving them in development work. To expand individual’s vision as leaders on target issues. To strengthen specific skills of participants through capacity building on education, health, population and environment.

CSP and National Volunteeer Movement (NVM),Ministry of Youth Affairs has signed MOU to establish district vlunteer forums in the districts of Islamabad, Abbotabad and Vehari.

Children & Youth Development Program

CSP has evolved its strategy with special focus on children and youth, because they constitute more than fifty percent population of Pakistan. The health issues are being addressed with the reference of this large proportion of population.
Selected to organize International Earth Festival 2005 from Pakistan during the last week of June 2005 by Plan Pakistan, an international NGO which was participated by a number from Vehari, Fateh Jang, Chakwal, Abbotabad, Maneshra, Murree and rural areas of Rawalpindi, Islamabad.
Organized National Youth Parliament under the theme “Rights and Responsibilities of Youth” and Youth Talent Award 2006 in connection with International Youth Day 12th August 2006. This important event was well attended by about 200 youth from all over Pakistan. Distinguished personalities were also invited as Guest Speakers. The report of the proceedings and recommendations of the parliament was launched on 22nd March 2007 at Islamabad. This ceremony of well attended by representatives of governmental departments, UN agencies, civil society, educationalists and media persons. Now a days , on the basis of the recommendations by the young parliamentarians, CSP is implementing a number of programmes including capacity building of youth . 

  •  CSP has also established 8 youth organizations in various cities of Pakistan which are actively working for engaging the youth in different useful activities. Different capacity building, orientation about volunteerism and leadership development programmes are being chalked out to make the officer-bearers and members of these organizations model for other youth. Closely working with the youth belonging to different educational institutes and Sport Clubs of Rawalpindi, Islamabad and Abbottabad to undertake different programmes related to volunteerism and organizing various awareness seminars etc.
  • In collaboration with Ministry of Narcotics Control, Anti Narcotics Force Pakistan organized Conference on “Sensitization of Heads of Federals Educational Institutions Against Drug Abuse” on 15th May 2007 at ILO Auditorium Islamabad. Besides, 400 heads of various public and private educational institutes from Islamabad and Rawalpindi, representatives of UN agencies, INGOS, media and diplomats attended the conference. Federal Minister for Narcotics Control graced the occasion as Chief Guest during the inauguration session while Federal Secretary for Ministry of Narcotics Control, Director General Anti Narcotics Force Pakistan and Director General Federal Directorate of Education Islamabad also especially attended the conference. At the end, resolution/recommendations were read out by one of the participant which would be quite useful to undertake future programmes as part of drug abuse prevention campaign.
  • CSP s’ team assisted Centre for Civic Education (CCE) Pakistan for implementation of Project Citizen which was launched in 4  big cities of  Pakistan  and thousand students and 8 youth organizations are participating in it. The main focus of this project on children and youth to inculcate the values of active citizenship among them. Besides, CSP team also collaborated with CCE for awareness campaign on voter registration campaign in Islamabad.
  • CSP team is working closely with Fazaldad Human Rights Institute Islamabad to organize teacher training workshops on human rights education at Vehari, Murree, Islamabad and Sahiwal. Besides, special sessions targeting youth are also being conducted in the above-mentioned cities.
  • Organized Grand Children Show on 28th March 2006 on the theme of “Promoting Peace and Unity” at Islamabad which was attended by 400 children from all Rawalpindi and Islamabad.
  • Collaborated with Plan Pakistan, Programme Unit Islamabad in organizing Youth Festival, Women Day and Children Parliament 15-16 and 27th March, 2006.
  • Launched a comprehensive Drug Abuse Awareness Campaign 2006 in collaboration with Anti Narcotics Force Pakistan in 8 selected districts from all over the country. This campaign targeted youth in particular and civil society in general. Painting competitions, Youth Forums and special seminars in connection with International Day Against Drug Abuse 26th June 2006 were organized .This campaign has been well appreciated by Ministry of Narcotics Control, United Office on Drug Control Pakistan and District Governments. Now CSP is working as permanent partner with Anti Narcotics Force Pakistan to undertake various useful projects and programmes to control this menace in Pakistan.
  • Launched a research report  “EMPOWERMENT OF YOUTH FOR PEACE  DEVELOPMENT:A CASE STUDY OF VEHARI on 10th October, 2007
  • Conducted research on “Reproductive Health and Youth” focusing on the students of QAU & COMSATS institute Islamabad.

 

  • Presentation on Youths problems at Geo TV’s famous program “Human Awam”

 

  • Assisted United Nations Information Center in organizing an Exhibition 23 May 7th June 2005 to create awareness over the system of United Nations among the students of Pakistan.
  • Celebration of Solidarity Week with Earthquake Affected Children 1-7 December 2005 in collaboration with Plan Pakistan Islamabad. Concluding Ceremony was organized on 7th December 2005 at National Library Auditorium, Islamabad which was not only attended by quake-affected children but also participated by UNICEF, UNIC and other organizations.
  • CSP has also established 8 youth organizations 10 sport clubs in various cities of Pakistan which are actively working for engaging the youth in different useful activities. Different capacity building and leadership development programs are being chalked out to make the officer-bearers and members of these organizations model for other youth.
CSP in collaboration with National Volunteer Movement is organizing a number of programmes to promote volunteerism among the youth especially belonging to universities and colleges.
 
  • In August 2007, CSP has signed MOU with National Volunteer Movement(NVM), Government of Pakistan, through which both the organizations would take joint activities for promoting volunteerism  and creating awareness over health related issues including drug abuse and  HIV/AIDS among the youth from all over Pakistan through advocacy campaign, arrangements of awareness seminars, organizing sports events.
  • In Collaboration with National Volunteer Movement Pakistan, CSP, organized National Football Gala at Islamabad from 20-26 July 2007  which was attended by the youngster players from Abbottabad, Gujar Khan, Swabi, Rawalpindi, Islamabad and Azad Kahmir
     
  •  CSP has also established 9 youth organizations (Mostly belonging to slum, remote and rural areas of Pakistan)   10 sport clubs and various educational institutes in various cities of Pakistan including Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Vehari, Swabi, Bolan , Pashin and Abbottabad which are actively working for engaging the youth in different useful activities. Different capacity building, orientation about volunteerism/basic health issues and leadership development programmes are being chalked out to make the office-bearers and members of these organizations model for other youth. Closely working with the youth belonging to different educational institutes and Sports Clubs to undertake different programmes related to volunteerism and organizing various awareness seminars etc.
